Thank you to all the students, parents and teachers who contributed to the success of our Rattlesnake Run that took place on Friday, 3/2/2012.  It couldn’t have happened without you! 

This year we had 557 students running laps on a beautiful spring afternoon.  With your support, we raised $7,949.00.  All monies raised from this event are used to directly support PTSA sponsored programs for your children.

We would like to thank and congratulate the following students – Sydney Owens (6th grade), Cara Richardson (7th grade), and Lucy Benson (8th grade), who brought in the most “collected” pledges per grade level and received two tickets for Knotts Berry Farm. Cara Richardson also won the $100.00 Visa Gift card for collecting the most pledges overall. The final raffle was for students who turned in pledges of $10.00 or more.  Those students were thrilled to win items such as Gift Cards from AMC, Gable House Bowl Handel’s Ice Cream, Jack’s Pizza, I-Tunes, Lazer Storm, Jamba Juice, Robeks, Yogurt Land and other amazing items such as an Almost Board from Vanguard, 2 GE Digital Cameras and Philips Mighty Mini Speakers.   All the 6th period teachers did an awesome job encouraging their students to turn in their pledges but Mrs. Newman’s 6th period class brought in the most funds overall winning her a $50.00 gift card for PF Chang’s. 

Our volunteers went above and beyond!  All of you who came out and helped us on the day of the event with setting up the field, marking laps, pouring water, passing out otter pops, tallying laps, etc., thank you!  To our parents who supported this event and reminded your kids to keep getting those donations in.  Mr. Petito for his nostalgic music while the students were running, Big Bill for helping to set up and take down the field, Shelly Stallings for putting up with us in and out of the office every day, Mrs. Case for being our amazing teacher liaison once again, and to Mr. Mabery for all of his continued assistance during this process and for manning the microphone during the event.
